The late Mr. Michinishi Kiyokichi, who lived in Manabeshima Island, Kasaoka City, Okayama Prefecture, from the Meiji Era through the Showa Era, bequeathed a series of paintings of the island. Through the courtesy of his relatives, a selection of his paintings has been made open to the public. They lively recall the island’s history, religion, and everyday life. Please enjoy the atmosphere of Manabeshima Island depicted in his paintings, alongside the landscape photography of today’s island.

*Manabeshima Island’s local food tasting event will take place on October 1 (Sat), 15 (Sat), and 29 (Sat), 2022. (Limited to 50 meals on each day: Numbered tickets will be issued on a first-come-first-served basis.)

The number of visitors at one time is limited to 5 people. For the protection of yourself and others, face masks are required to enter. We recommend sanitizing your hands and measuring your temperature on entering. Please do not visit if you feel unwell or if your temperature is higher than 37.5℃.
